DAHLIA TUBERS

DAHLIA ROOTED CUTTINGS

Tubers are sold as single tubers and not tuber clumps, verified to have a viable eye at the time of dividing. Because we are a small-scale grower, many varieties will only have 1-4 tubers available.

An “ugly” tuber is one that may be on the smaller side, might have been nicked by the pitchfork at the time of digging and has some cosmetic imperfections, or might have a small amount of wrinkling, but is still a viable tuber and expected to grow and thrive in your garden! If a tuber is listed as an “ugly” tuber, it will be a reduced price from its non-ugly version. :)

Rooted cuttings are propagated from dahlias that have grown at least one growing season in my garden, and did not have any signs of disease/virus during the growing season.

Notes on Virus/Virus prevention-  Because we are a home garden/small-scale grower, it is not financially sustainable for us to virus test all of our plants.  We believe in sanitizing our tools between each plant and also operate by the philosophy of “when in doubt, throw it out.”  Meaning anything that looks suspicious for virus is pulled from the garden and disposed of properly.  Cutting/dividing tools are sanitized between each individual tuber clump at the time of dividing, as well.  It is believed that dahlia stock in general has a high proportion of virus, but every effort is made to err on the side of caution.  We cannot guarantee plants to be virus free, as virus can be transmitted by pests, tools, etc at any point during the season.  We take every measure to assure that the tubers sent to you, to the best of our knowledge, are healthy and ready to thrive.

Shipping- All tubers will ship via priority mail once the weather is safe to do so in your area. Shipping will begin late March or early April. Shipping for 1-4 tubers will be $10.50, Shipping for 5-10 tubers will be $15, Shipping for 11-16 tubers will be $18.00, Shipping for 17+ tubers will be $23.00

*I WILL combine shipping for orders placed within this sale, but cannot guarantee combined shipping for future sale dates (I.e. restocks). Tuber orders and cutting orders will be sold separately and shipped separately. Tubers and cuttings orders cannot be combined for shipping.
